Munich, 01.04.2025 – The Bavarian Pelvic Floor Center at the ISAR Clinic is facing a significant change in leadership: After eight years of successful management, Prof. Dr. med. Ursula Peschers is handing over the position to Dr. Donata-Maximiliane Burgmann, who will take over responsibility from May 1, 2025.
A farewell with thanks and recognition
Prof. Dr. Peschers, who has shaped the center since 2017, is leaving the ISAR Clinic to return to her home in the Lower Rhine region. Under her leadership, the Pelvic Floor Center has developed into one of the leading facilities in Germany – with more than 5,000 outpatients per year and over 800 operations.
“It has been a great honor to lead the Pelvic Floor Center and, together with an outstanding team, to develop innovative treatment approaches for patients with urinary and anal incontinence as well as pelvic floor prolapse,” says Prof. Dr. Peschers. “I am leaving with the certainty that the center will remain in the best hands.”
Dr. Burgmann: Expertise and vision for the future
Her successor, Dr. Donata-Maximiliane Burgmann, brings with her many years of experience as Head of the Pelvic Floor Centre at the LMU Women’s Clinic. Her expertise in gynecology and obstetrics as well as her commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration make her the ideal candidate for this responsible position.
“I am very much looking forward to the new challenge and to continuing the excellent work of Prof. Dr. Peschers,” says Dr. Burgmann. “My aim is to further optimize the treatment concepts and strengthen the ISAR Clinic as a nationwide center of excellence for pelvic floor disorders.”
