Dr. Bernheim has been medical director at the ISAR Klinikum since 2006. He has been a vascular surgeon in private practice since 1993, specializing in phlebology and aesthetic medicine. From 1991 to 1993, he trained as a vascular surgeon under Prof. Dr. med. W. Mohr at the University of Göttingen. From 1986 to 1991, he completed his training in general surgery at the surgical department of the Harlaching municipal hospital. Prior to this, he trained in intensive care medicine, pacemaker therapy and cardiovascular surgery at the university's cardiac surgery clinic at Großhadern Hospital.
Since 1999, Dr. Bernheim has been fully authorized by the Bavarian Medical Association to provide further training.

Prof. Dr. med. Franz G. Bader has been Director of the Clinic for General, Visceral and Minimally Invasive Surgery at ISAR Klinikum since 2014. From 2009, he was Senior Physician at the Department of Surgery at Lübeck University Hospital and then, from 2011 to 2014, Senior Physician and Section Head for Colorectal Surgery at the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich. He was also the coordinator of the colorectal center there, which was established under his leadership.
Prof. Dr. med. Franz G. Bader studied human medicine at the Universities of Leipzig, Hamburg, Seattle (Washington, USA) and Munich. He is a specialist in surgery, visceral surgery and proctology.
