Return to Sport Assessment after knee surgery in athletes: back to sport safely after knee injury.
The ISAR Klinikum is certified as an “Official Knee Center of the German Knee Society (DKG)”. Head Physician of the Orthopaedics Clinic Dr. Matthias Hoppert is a certified knee surgeon of the DKG and M-doctor of the VBG for professional athletes. He and his team perform over 1000 knee operations a year.
One focus of knee surgery is cruciate ligament surgery, sports traumatology and cartilage regenerative therapy. The “Return to Sport Assessment” introduced at the ISAR Clinic is used to test and support treated athletes until they return to their sporting activities and competitive sport.
This includes:
- Combination of strength, jumping and agility test
- Medical examinations and personal patient care
- Individual sport release with “Return to Sport” and “Return to Competition”
